Government and Gasoline

Government and Gasoline

The central government has reduced to almost nothing America's freedom to put her great minds to to the task of finding innovative new ways to use technology. Get out of the way and let the energy companies use their profits to find renewable energy sources; they know Americans expect this of them. But let them also develop the resource we have available in this country to meet our energy needs for the next century and beyond. Take a visit to the US Geological site and see for yourself that we have these resources.

Ask yourself, what is the real reason congress and the president (I believe he has ulterior motives for his latest grandstanding about domestic exploration, we'll see) FORCE the USA to be dependent on foreign oil. They speak with a forked tongue when they SAY they want to move towards "energy independence" but their actions show otherwise.

Subsidies don't work, they delay true development by picking winners and loser that the government, elected or bureaucrat who have no expertise, chose. Look at ethanol. The feds forced more production causing the price of corn to rise, reducing food for people and feed for animals. It takes more ethanol to propel you car the same distance compared to gasoline. And it cost more.
